Sarah’s Sewing Circle was a cherished program developed in partnership with the Chicago Public Library, Bezazian Branch (Uptown). We met weekly around a table in the middle of the stacks and worked side-by-side on projects spanning all variety of needlecraft. I facilitated and answered questions where needed, but mostly I enjoyed the company and creativity of our community. Participants knitted, crocheted, hand-embroidered, and even created DIY kites on our community sewing machine.
