While still in design school, I sought out Fair Trade organizations to work with and design for. I knew I loved fashion, but the more I found out about the industry, the more repelled I was by unethical and exploitative production practices. Getting my start in Fair Trade allowed me to learn how things could be made while treating people with dignity and respect.
